General Membership Meeting - Special Meeting

CALL TO ORDER: Thursday, November 13, 2003 - The General Membership Meeting was called the meeting to order at 07:05 hours, and reconvened at 18:00 hours by President R. Reinhart.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS ROLL CALL: R. Reinhart, President; J.K. Muller, Vice-President; J. Huss, Secretary; D. Hashin, Treasurer; A. Preece, Director/ Sergeant-at-Arms (ABS); C. Bales, Director; E.N. Evenson, Director; J. Nelson, Director; J. Allard, Director.
OTHER MEMBERS PRESENT: Attendance rosters available.
GUESTS: None.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
OLD BUSINESS
PORAC ADD&D INSURANCE: D. Hashin presented enrollment forms to members to enroll new members into the PORAC AD&D Core Plan (Members Only), which is paid for by the PORAC dues or change of address/ information/ beneficiary with previously enrolled members. Anyone who missed these meetings may get these forms from D. Hashin upon request.
SRC: J. Nelson solicited membership enrollment into the club.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
NEGOTIATION COMMITTEE REPORT: R. Reinhart and D. Hashin gave a status report as to where negotiation meeting ended and addressed the proposed "Side Letter Agreement - Health and Other Insurance Benefits Between the City of Huntington Beach and the Huntington Beach Police Officers' Association - Effective: Upon City Council Approval." This included information on the break down of proposed costs to the HealthNet Insurance Plans. (Handout distributed)

The Negotiations Team's recommendation to the membership was unaniousmly to reject the side Letter Agreement. (Copy Attached)

Ballots were distributed for a membership vote: [ 0 ] Accept [ 125 ] Reject

After tallying the ballots the voting members unanimously rejected the offer.
