9-11 Monument Design Campaign
The HBPOF and HBFFA are inviting the public (Artist, Architects, Students, Teachers, Classes, etc.) to submit design ideas for the Huntington Beach 9/11 Memorial that will be placed on the grounds of City Hall. There have been two possible locations selected for the Monument.

The First Location is at the Base of the HB City Council Chambers
(SouthWest Corner, currently there are 3 large circular planters at this location) |

The Second possible location is to utilize a portion of the inoperable fountain that sits to the Front of City Hall and the Police Department. |

Criteria for the Memorial will be:
- Utilize the two sections of World Trade Center steel
- Depict the locations of the attacks on the Memorial (World Trade Center Towers, Pentagon, and Shanksville PA)
- Avoid any Religious connotations (Crosses etc.)

The designs must be submitted to the selection committee no later than December 15th, 2011.

Fund Raising Campaign
This campaign will help pay for the construction and maintenance of the Memorial. No City of Huntington Beach Public Funds will be utilized. In the event the HBPOF and the HBFFA raises excess funds the excessive funds will be donated to 9/11 Museum & Memorial in Lower Manhattan, the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa., and the Pentagon Memorial Fund in Washington.
